Study break!

Oct 10

If it weren’t for the Cello’s donuts, ‘Lake House’ reruns, Jeopardy episodes and scheduled phone calls, I would have gone crazy with all the work load I have to finish.

I hate finals week, 20 unit sem-workload and my sickness that delayed my otherwise work schedule…

And for just a brief moment, a little weirdness wouldn’t hurt anyone. Hence, this cute little proof. :D

Dear Blog,

I’m so sorry if it seems that I don’t have time for you anymore. October has already started and every student and teacher know that this is one of the busiest months of the year.

Please, don’t get mad. I promise to tell you everything that has transpired from the last post.

Wish me luck!

Signs that Risha is stressed…

Sep 23

If you keep forgetting important little things like car keys, then you are stressed.

If try to unlock somebody else’s car mistaking it as yours, then you are stressed.

If you easily get angry and upset over almost anything, then you are stressed.

If a meal is considered to be a nuisance rather than a break, then you are stressed.

If you turn semi-narcoleptic, sleeping every time you close your eyes, then you are stressed.

If you are wishing for a vacation every minute, then you are definitely stressed.

… Sana sembreak na…

Wake me up when September ends

Sep 09

Ahhh, the ever infamous song by Green Day. Not that I have anything against the some or the band. I just didn’t like the fact that just last year, every radio station had to play the song every hour.

I wish I could fast forward the whole month and the first part of October just in time for semestral break. But until I find the ‘Click-ish’ solution to my present situation, I have to figure out the following:

1. How to be a recording artist and the audio engineer in a span of a week
2. How to extract all the parameters for our thesis. And prepare the project proposal as well.
3. How to master the 2nd law of thermodynamics by Wednesday
4. Read 3 chapters of Rappaport by the end of the week
5. Present a panel discussion for Comm 3
6. Submit the taxation assignment in CE 22
7. Help with ‘MC in a day’ seminar this Saturday

And that’s just for this week. Come to think of it, the next weeks will be tougher.

However, there should be overwhelming good news to counteract my stressful weeks ahead…

Cheska will be back by Friday~ and

Congrats to my dear friend, Jamie for passing the MedTech board exam!

Letter from an irrate motorist

Aug 26

To Mr. Fernando and all officials of the MMDA,

The new traffic scheme of putting up pink road dividers from Robinson’s Metro East to Sta. Lucia is the most stupid traffic strategy to date.

Instead of its supposed “objective” to decongest the traffic in the area, it only made matters worse. All vehicles are trying to squeeze their way on the right most lane just to get to the malls, or pick up passengers, or turn right to Felix Ave. while the other lane is filled with useless asphalt. Gone are the days were smooth sailing driving along Marcos Hi-way is a certainty during off-peak hours and weekends. Traffic now is even worse before the u-turn scheme was even implemented.

Instead of fragile pink fences and orange barricades, why won’t you spend all your money hiring people to either train all the notorious drivers in the country or security cameras to document all violations on the spot? I had a group who made an ANPR if it means anything. Oh and yeah, separate lanes for motorcycles would be of much help too.

Sincerely,

Risha Lopez

I got this test from Ate Tina and Nikki. Nothing new, really. I took a Myers-Briggs test a few months back with the same result. But lookie lookie, here’s a more detailed explanation of INFJ’s

So-called Five-day Weekend

Aug 19

With three consecutive class suspensions plus the weird law that moves holidays, I am left with a five-day long weekend.

Am I happy? Well, not really. Suspension of classes would just mean more make-up classes, unbearable hell weeks due to postponed classes and of course, the feeling you get whenever you turn on the TV and see the devastation left by the typhoons.

The series of consequences will commence this Tuesday. Hello, stress! We meet again!
