i drive through marcos highway daily and i actually feel that i've been getting home faster than ever (going to school is another story though - cainta-katips route). before, marcos highway traffic starts from katips and marcos bridge, now it 'starts' way after ligaya - and traffic isn't even that heavy, slow pero bearable.

pero: going to katips naman is hell. and yeah, it's more of a motorist-problem. lalo na sa u-turn slots. XD

I agree. Hi-tech equipment and strict traffic rules will still be useless due to lax implementation.

Daily commuting wouldn't be much of a problem if all motorists are conscious enough to adhere to all traffic rules. Another rant I would love to write about if only I have time...

i agree with investing the money into something else rather than knee-jerk infrastructures then demolish them later when things don't go as planned and expected. Stiffer penalties and effective monitoring tools and gadgets can also be excellent combo. But there is another angle - implementation and implementing agency's integrity.
